Ecobub Nappies is the brainchild of a working mum who wanted good quality environmentally-friendly products when her son was born. Frustrated at the lack of products available in the shops she set about sourcing products and bringing them together under the Ecobub Nappies brand.

Prior to starting this business she had a pretty good awareness of some of the dangerous ingredients in products freely available on the market and an understanding of how they impact everyone’s health, particularly that of those who have little or no natural defence systems. She had also made a commitment to herself when in her early twenties to never use disposable nappies on her children that contained dangerous ingredients or negatively impact the environment. Many years later she became pregnant and endeavoured to find cloth fitted nappies that were natural fibre with no dangerous dyes, etc.. In this research she also found there was little made in Australia or produced by Australian companies, although she did find some biodegradable disposable nappies. The hitch of not being able to source much in Australia led Tara to leverage off her many years of business experience and launch her own business providing well researched high quality products to the Australian marketplace.

Now there is a place for parents to go who want quality nappy and associated products that are safe for their child(ren) and the environment. We have a great range of organic cotton cloth; organic cotton cloth wipes, cot sheets, towels, wraps, breast pads; biodegradable disposable nappies and biodegradable wet wipes; baby care products (wash, lotions and sunscreens).

Being aware of some of the dangerous ingredients in the mainstream brands of disposable nappies, Ecobub Nappies chooses not to use the mainstream disposable nappies but found it difficult to find safe products. I have detailed some of the reasons for not going with mainstream brands for your reference below.
